Day 1 - March 30: Departure from the US
Depart the United States on an overnight flight bound for Cairo, Egypt, leaving behind the familiar and stepping into a land where ancient history and living culture meet. Relax and settle in as your journey to the land of the pharaohs begins. An unforgettable adventure awaits along the legendary Nile.
Day 2 – March 31: Arrival in Cairo
Arrive in Cairo and be warmly welcomed by our local staff, who will assist you through arrival formalities and ensure a smooth start to your Egyptian journey. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and time to rest after the long flight. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and your first night in Egypt.
Day 3 – April 1: Cairo – Pyramids of Giza
Begin your day at the legendary Pyramids of Giza and stand before the Great Sphinx. Explore the Great Pyramid of Khufu and take in sweeping views across the Giza Plateau. Enjoy lunch nearby before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight. Tonight, reflect on standing before the last remaining Wonder of the Ancient World.
Day 4 – April 2: Cairo – Grand Egyptian Museum
After breakfast, visit the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum and explore its world-class collections spanning more than 5,000 years of history. Discover the treasures of King Tutankhamun and countless artifacts that tell the story of Egypt’s pharaohs, gods, and daily life along the Nile. Enjoy lunch in Cairo before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 – April 3: Cairo – Luxor – Nile Cruise
After breakfast, fly to Luxor and transfer to your luxury Nile cruise ship, your floating home for the next four nights. Enjoy lunch onboard before visiting the magnificent temples of Karnak and Luxor, where towering columns and sacred avenues reveal the glory of ancient Thebes. Dinner and overnight aboard your 5-star Nile cruise.
Day 6 – April 4: Luxor – Esna – Edfu
Explore the West Bank of Luxor, including the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the towering Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship for lunch and begin sailing south through the Esna Lock, watching villages, palm groves, farms, and fishermen pass along the banks of the Nile. Dinner and overnight aboard the cruise.
Day 7 – April 5: Edfu – Kom Ombo – Aswan
Visit the beautifully preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian temple architecture. Sail onward to Kom Ombo to explore its unique double temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder, dramatically situated along the Nile. Continue sailing toward Aswan for dinner and overnight aboard your ship.
Day 8 – April 6: Aswan – Philae Temple & Nubian Village
Visit the beautiful Philae Temple, reached by boat and surrounded by the peaceful waters of the Nile. Later, experience the warmth and hospitality of a Nubian Village, with its colorful homes, traditions, food, and culture offering a wonderful glimpse into life in southern Egypt. Return to the ship for dinner and your final night aboard the Nile cruise.
Day 9 – April 7: Aswan – Cairo – St. Catherine, Sinai
After breakfast, disembark from your Nile cruise and fly from Aswan to Cairo. Upon arrival, continue by private coach into the Sinai Peninsula, traveling through the dramatic desert landscapes toward St. Catherine.
Arrive in the evening and check into your hotel near St. Catherine’s Monastery. Enjoy dinner and prepare for one of the most memorable experiences of the pilgrimage—the journey up Mount Sinai.
Day 10 – April 8: Mount Sinai – St. Catherine’s Monastery – Sharm El Sheikh
In the early hours of the morning, those who wish may begin the legendary climb of Mount Sinai, starting around 1:30 AM beneath a sky filled with stars. Follow the ancient pilgrimage route traditionally associated with Moses and reach the summit in time to witness an unforgettable sunrise over the Sinai Mountains.
After descending, visit St. Catherine’s Monastery, one of the oldest continuously operating Christian monasteries in the world. Here we will experience the sacred traditions surrounding the Burning Bush and this extraordinary center of Christian history and spirituality.
After our visit, continue through the mountains toward Sharm El Sheikh, located along the beautiful Red Sea. Check into your resort and enjoy the remainder of the day relaxing after the Sinai experience. Dinner and overnight in Sharm El Sheikh.
Day 11 – April 9: Sharm El Sheikh – Red Sea
Today is yours to slow down, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the Red Sea. After days filled with temples, history, travel, and pilgrimage, Sharm offers a wonderful opportunity to rest and reflect on everything we have experienced together.
Enjoy the resort, relax beside the sea or pool, or simply spend time with fellow travelers. Optional Red Sea activities may also be available for those looking for a little more adventure.
Dinner and overnight in Sharm El Sheikh.
Day 12 – April 10: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Sharm El Sheikh International Airport for your journey home.
Depart Egypt carrying memories of the Pyramids, the Nile, ancient temples, Nubian hospitality, the mountains of Sinai, and the peaceful waters of the Red Sea.
