Day 1 – January 25 | Departure to Egypt
This evening, our journey begins as we depart the USA on our overnight flight to Cairo. As we cross the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, we look ahead to a land where ancient civilizations, biblical history, and living traditions come together. Settle in for a comfortable flight and begin dreaming of pyramids, temples, and the timeless Nile.
Day 2 – January 26 | Arrival in Cairo
We arrive in Cairo this evening, where our local team will meet us inside the airport and assist with arrival formalities. After passing through passport control, we transfer to our hotel in the heart of the city. Enjoy a late dinner and take in your first impressions of Africa’s largest and most vibrant metropolis.
Day 3 – January 27 | Pyramids of Giza & Old Cairo
Today we come face to face with one of the greatest wonders of the ancient world — the Pyramids of Giza and the legendary Great Sphinx. Walk the desert plateau where Pharaohs once ruled and stand before monuments that have amazed travelers for over 4,500 years. After lunch, we explore Old Cairo and its historic Christian churches before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – January 28 | Grand Egyptian Museum
This morning we visit the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum in the world. Here we encounter towering statues, royal mummies, and the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun displayed together for the first time. After lunch, enjoy a relaxed afternoon back at the hotel followed by dinner and overnight in Cairo.
Day 5 – January 29 | Fly to Aswan & Nile Cruise Begins
Early this morning we fly south to Aswan, the gateway to Nubia and the southern Nile. After lunch, we visit the beautiful Temple of Philae, set on an island and dedicated to the goddess Isis. We then explore a colorful local spice market before boarding our elegant Nile cruise ship for dinner and overnight.
Day 6 – January 30 | Nubian Village & Sailing the Nile
This morning we visit a traditional Nubian village, known for its painted homes, warm hospitality, and rich cultural traditions. After meeting the local people, we return to the ship and begin sailing north along the Nile. Sit on deck and watch life unfold along the riverbanks as we cruise toward Kom Ombo and onward to Edfu.
Day 7 – January 31 | Temples of Edfu, Kom Ombo & Luxor
We begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt. Back on board, we sail north with a stop at Kom Ombo, uniquely dedicated to two gods. By evening, we arrive in Luxor, once the ancient capital of Thebes, and visit the awe-inspiring Karnak and Luxor Temples.
Day 8 – February 1 | Valley of the Kings & Red Sea – Hurghada
This morning we cross to Luxor’s West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, where Egypt’s greatest Pharaohs were laid to rest. We also visit the elegant Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and stand before the towering Colossi of Memnon. After lunch, we drive through the Eastern Desert to the Red Sea resort town of Hurghada for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 – February 2 | Red Sea Snorkeling & Leisure Day – Hurghada
Today is yours to enjoy along the stunning shores of the Red Sea in Hurghada, one of the best snorkeling destinations in the world. Those who wish may join an optional boat excursion to explore vibrant coral reefs filled with tropical fish and crystal-clear waters. Others may choose to relax by the pool or stroll along the beach, soaking in the peaceful beauty of Egypt’s coastline.
Day 10 – February 3 | Free Day on the Red Sea – Hurghada
Another full day to unwind in Hurghada and enjoy the sunshine along Egypt’s beautiful Red Sea coast. Whether you choose to relax by the pool, explore the town, or take a boat out onto the calm, crystal-clear waters, this day offers a peaceful ending to an extraordinary journey through Egypt’s history and natural beauty.
Day 11 – February 4 | Return to Cairo from Hurghada
This morning, we depart Hurghada and travel back to Cairo through the desert landscape. Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel and enjoy a final evening together in Egypt’s vibrant capital. Dinner and overnight in Cairo provide time to reflect on an unforgettable journey along the Nile and the Red Sea.
Day 12 – February 5 | Departure Home from Cairo
Very early this morning, we transfer to Cairo International Airport for our return flight to the United States. As we say goodbye to Egypt, we carry with us memories of ancient wonders, sacred places, warm hospitality, and the timeless flow of the Nile.
