This unforgettable journey will also take us into the heart of Egypt’s Christian heritage, with visits to historic Coptic churches in Cairo, including the Hanging Church and the Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus, traditionally believed to have sheltered the Holy Family during their journey through Egypt.

We are especially honored to have Dr. Michael Chan join us on this journey, sharing his biblical insight and teaching along the way as we experience the history, faith, and stories of Egypt together.

Itinerary

Day 1 – May 21: Departure from the USA

Begin your adventure as you depart for Egypt, a land of timeless wonders, ancient history, and spiritual depth.

Day 2 – May 22: Arrival in Cairo

Arrive in Cairo, where our local team will welcome you and assist with airport formalities. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and enjoy dinner. Cairo is a city where ancient history, modern life, and sacred traditions come together.

Day 3 – May 23: Pyramids of Giza & Grand Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, visit the legendary Great Pyramids of Giza and the iconic Sphinx. Stand before the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World before enjoying lunch and continuing to the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to thousands of ancient artifacts, including the treasures of King Tutankhamun.

Day 4 – May 24: Coptic Cairo

Visit the sacred Christian sites of Old Cairo, including the Church of Saint George, Saint Barbara Church, Abu Serga—where tradition holds that the Holy Family stayed during their time in Egypt—and the historic Hanging Church. Walk through some of Christianity’s earliest landmarks and experience Egypt’s rich Christian heritage. Enjoy lunch during the day and dinner at the hotel.

Day 5 – May 25: Flight to Luxor & Start of Nile Cruise

Take an early morning flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, transfer to your 5★ Nile cruise ship and check in before lunch. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Luxor Temple and the vast Karnak Temple complex, walking among towering columns and sacred sanctuaries in ancient Thebes, once the spiritual heart of pharaonic Egypt.

Day 6 – May 26: West Bank of Luxor & Sail to Esna

Explore Luxor’s famous West Bank, including the Colossi of Memnon and the impressive Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most powerful female pharaohs. Return to the ship for lunch and begin sailing south toward Esna and Edfu. Along the way, enjoy views of everyday Egyptian life unfolding along the banks of the Nile.

Day 7 – May 27: Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples

Visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon god Horus and considered one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt. Continue sailing to Kom Ombo and visit its unique twin temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus. Discover fascinating stories of ancient mythology, medicine, and even mummified crocodiles at these remarkable riverside temples.

Day 8 – May 28: Philae Temple & Nubian Village – Aswan

Travel by motorboat to beautiful Philae Temple, located on an island and dedicated to the goddess Isis. Later, visit a colorful Nubian village and experience the warmth and hospitality of the local community. This special day combines the beauty of ancient Egypt with the vibrant culture and traditions of Nubia before returning to the cruise.

Day 9 – May 29: Travel to St. Catherine – Sinai

Fly to Cairo and continue by coach across the dramatic Sinai Peninsula. Stop for lunch along the Red Sea in Ras Sudr before continuing to St. Catherine. Journey through the biblical landscapes of Sinai toward one of the oldest continuously operating Christian monasteries in the world. Check in at the guest house for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – May 30: Mount Sinai & St. Catherine’s Monastery

Around 1:00 AM, begin the optional climb up Mount Sinai to experience sunrise from the summit, traditionally associated with Moses receiving the Ten Commandments. After descending, enjoy breakfast and visit historic St. Catherine’s Monastery. This is one of the most spiritually meaningful experiences of the journey. Later, drive back to Cairo for your final overnight.

Day 11 – May 31: Departure – Return to the USA

Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight home, concluding an unforgettable journey filled with faith, ancient history, culture, and the timeless beauty of Egypt.
