Overview

Join Rev. Jim Johnson and the people of St. Luke Lutheran Church on a Camino de Santiago pilgrimage—an invitation for first-time walkers and seasoned pilgrims alike. For centuries, travelers have stepped onto these ancient paths seeking peace, clarity, and a deeper awareness of God’s presence.

Our journey begins in Madrid and carries us across northern Spain to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. We’ll walk between 4–16 miles most days, moving at a steady, pilgrim-friendly pace with plenty of moments to pause, pray, and take in the landscape.

You’ll be wonderfully supported throughout the pilgrimage with a dedicated guide and driver, and each evening we’ll return to the comfort of a 4-star hotel to share good meals and meaningful conversation.

We’re looking forward to this time set apart—for reflection and renewal, for sensing God’s presence along the way, and for walking, laughing, and being inspired together on the road.
