Along the way, step into the world of the Bible as we reflect on Egypt’s connections to the stories of Joseph, Moses and the Exodus, and the Holy Family’s flight into Egypt. Walk through magnificent ancient temples, enter the Valley of the Kings, and experience the remarkable civilization that shaped the world in which many biblical stories unfolded.
Our journey will also introduce us to Egypt’s rich and often overlooked Christian heritage. In Old Cairo, visit historic Coptic churches and places traditionally associated with the journey of the Holy Family through Egypt, while learning about the ancient Christian community whose faith continues in Egypt today.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Cairo at the Mövenpick Hotel
Day 1 – December 28: Departure from the USA
Depart the United States on an overnight flight bound for Cairo, Egypt, leaving behind the familiar and stepping into a land where ancient history and living culture meet. Relax and settle in as your journey to the land of the pharaohs begins.
Day 2 – December 29: Arrival in Cairo
Arrive in Cairo and be warmly welcomed by our local staff, who will assist you through arrival formalities and ensure a smooth start to your Egyptian journey. Transfer to the Mövenpick Hotel for check-in and time to rest after your flight. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and your first night in Egypt.
Day 3 – December 30: Cairo – Pyramids of Giza
Begin your day at the legendary Pyramids of Giza and stand before the Great Sphinx. Explore the Giza Plateau, see the Great Pyramid of Khufu—the last remaining Wonder of the Ancient World—and take in sweeping views of the pyramids.
Enjoy lunch nearby before returning to the Mövenpick Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – December 31: Grand Egyptian Museum & New Year’s Eve in Cairo
After breakfast, visit the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum and explore its extraordinary collections spanning thousands of years of Egyptian history. Discover the treasures of King Tutankhamun and remarkable artifacts that tell the story of Egypt’s pharaohs, gods, and daily life along the Nile.
After lunch, return to the hotel with time to relax and prepare for a special evening.
Tonight, we will celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Mövenpick Hotel in Cairo, enjoying dinner, festivities, fellowship, and the excitement of welcoming the New Year together in Egypt.

Day 5 – January 1: Cairo – Luxor & Nile Cruise Embarkation
Begin the New Year with breakfast before transferring to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, transfer to your luxury Nile cruise ship—your floating home for the next four nights.
Enjoy lunch onboard before visiting the magnificent Karnak and Luxor Temples, where towering columns and sacred avenues reveal the glory of ancient Thebes.
Dinner and overnight aboard your 5-star Nile cruise.
Day 6 – January 2: Luxor – Esna – Edfu
Explore the West Bank of Luxor, including the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship for lunch and begin sailing south through the Esna Lock.
Relax on deck as villages, palm groves, farms, and everyday life along the Nile pass by. Dinner and overnight aboard the cruise in Edfu.
Day 7 – January 3: Edfu – Kom Ombo – Aswan
After breakfast, visit the beautifully preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian temple architecture.
Sail onward to Kom Ombo to explore its unique double temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder, dramatically situated along the Nile.
Continue sailing south toward Aswan for dinner and overnight aboard your ship.
Day 8 – January 4: Aswan – Philae Temple & Nubian Village
Visit the stunning Philae Temple, reached by boat and surrounded by the peaceful waters of the Nile.
Later, experience something very different from Egypt’s ancient monuments with a visit to a Nubian village. Meet local people, see the colorful homes, learn about Nubian traditions, and enjoy the warm hospitality of this unique community.
Return to the ship for dinner and overnight in Aswan.
Day 9 – January 5: Aswan – Cairo – Coptic Cairo
Fly back to Cairo this morning and explore the heart of Egypt’s ancient Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo.
Visit some of Egypt’s oldest churches, including Abu Serga, traditionally built over the cave where the Holy Family is believed to have taken refuge during their journey through Egypt, along with other historic Christian sites.
Enjoy lunch before checking into your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 10 – January 6: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your return flight home.
Depart Egypt carrying memories of the Pyramids, the treasures of the Grand Egyptian Museum, New Year’s Eve in Cairo, ancient temples, the Nile, Nubian hospitality, and Egypt’s Christian heritage.
