Day 1, December 27, 2023: Departure                                                        

 Day 2, December 28, 2023: Arrival in Tel Aviv – Transfer to the hotel in Herzliya                                                               We arrive in Tel Aviv, and upon arrival we will meet our local guide and driver. The only stop for today will be Jaffa (time permitting). We head towards the Mediterranean Sea to Jaffa. After our tour in Jaffa we will transfer to our hotel in Herzliya for dinner and overnight 

Day 3, FRIDAY – December 29, 2023: Caesarea Maritima – Mount Carmel – Megiddo –Nazareth – Cana – Tiberias
 Buffet breakfast and check-out. Depart for Caesarea Maritima. Visit Caesarea Maritima, a magnificent city with Roman, Byzantine, and Crusader ruins. Here we will elaborate on the story of the baptism of Cornelius, the first gentile convert into Christianity (Acts 10), and on the travels of Paul — those events that led Caesarea Maritima to become the springboard of Christianity to the West. Visit Mount Carmel, Muhraqa – The Place of Fire, and consider the contest between the Prophet Elijah and the false prophets of Baal (I Kings 18), Depart north for Meggido.  Visit Tel Megiddo “Armageddon”,  Along our visit we would see the Solomon city gate, stables, and palaces from the times of Ahab, a high place, and the impressive water system dating to the 9th century BC. Visit the Church of the Annunciation built over the house of Mary where the Angel appeared to Mary announcing to her that she is going to be with a child calling him Immanuel.  On to visit the Upper Basilica and the nearby archaeological museum (included) seeing the remains of
Nazareth from the time of Jesus. Time permitting, visit the Cana of Galilee where Jesus performed his first miracle changing water into wine. Couples will have a chance to renew their marriage vows there.  Then we will check into our hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight. 

Day 4, SATURDAY – December 30, 2023: Sea of Galilee - Caesarea Philippi – Golan Heights – Capernaum 
Buffet breakfast. We begin our day with a sail on the Sea of Galilee on a replica of a boat from Jesus’ time. We will dock in Ginosar where we will visit the ancient boat museum, containing a 2000-year the old fishing boat which is a good example of how the boats looked like in Jesus’ time After the boat ride, we drive to Capernaum. Depart for Caesarea Philippi. Visit Caesarea Philippi, known also as Banias, springs from a source of the Jordan River, where Peter confessed that Jesus is the Son of God. We visit the high place seeing the gates of Hades, Augustus Temple and the High Place where the God Pan was worshipped. Drive to Golan Heights, from where we look into Syria and the road to Damascus. Stop at Peace Vista to admire the view of the Sea of Galilee and the Land of Decapolis We will visit Capernaum, the hometown of Jesus as described by the Gospel, also Jesus’ Galilean ministry base. There we will see the house of Peter’s mother-in-law and the ancient synagogue where many of Jesus’ teachings took place. Return to the hotel for Dinner and overnight at the Sea of Galilee.

Day 5, SUNDAY – December 31, 2023: Mount of Beatitudes – Peter’s Primacy – Magdala – Baptismal Site 
Buffet breakfast. Visit Mount of Beatitudes where we enjoy its enchanting gardens and reflect on Jesus’ teachings of the Sermon on the Mount. Proceed to Tabgha. Visit the Church of St Peter’s Primacy, where Jesus appeared to his disciples for the third time after the Resurrection  During the lunch break, you will have the opportunity to try St. Peter’s fish, commonly eaten by people in Jesus’ day  Depart for Magdala. We visit Magdala, the hometown of Mary Magdalene including the 1st-century Synagogue, the oldest Synagogue discovered on the shores of Galilee with a stone carved model of the Temple, including a Menorah carving. Depart for Yardenit. Visit Yardenit Baptismal Site where you will get a chance to renew baptismal vows. Return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Sea of Galilee.
Day 6, MONDAY – January 01, 2024: Beit She’an – Jacob’s Well – Bet Arabah – Jericho – Jerusalem
Buffet breakfast and check-out.  Depart for Beit She’an. Visit Beit She’an  the capital of Decapolis. There we will see the ruins of the Roman and Byzantine cities. We will also discuss the demise of King Saul and his sons, whose bodies were hanged on the walls of Beit Shean. Proceed to Nablus.  Located in the present city of Nablus which encompasses the biblical Shechem, where nearby Jacob dug his well. The well became a setting for a meeting between Jesus and a Samaritan woman. Visit Bet Arabah “Qasr el Yahud” known also as Gilgal, where the Israelites crossed into the promised land, from where Elijah was taken to heaven and at where Our Lord was baptized.  Return to Jericho. Visit Tel Jericho, where we will see the location of the city from the town of Joshua, and view the Mount of Temptation. Then, enjoy a panoramic tour of Jericho, seeing the Sycamore Tree reminding us of the encounter between Jesus and Zacchaeus. Drive towards Jerusalem.  Arriving in Jerusalem, enjoy Genesis Welcome to the Holy City at Mount Scopus. Check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7, TUESDAY – January 02, 2024: Masada – Ein Gedi – Qumran – Dead Sea – Jerusalem
 Buffet breakfast. Depart for Masada. We begin our day visiting Masada the fortress built by King Herod the Great and made famous by the Zealots in 73/74 AD with the standoff against the Romans. We visit the fortress and see the ruins that are considered a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. We take a cable car onto the mountain. We leave Masada and continue to Ein Gedi.  We visit Ein Gedi, an oasis in the desert where the meeting between David and King Saul took place (I Samuel 24) and where some of the psalms were written by David. We proceed to Qumran. We visit Qumran, the caves where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered, and the buildings that formed the Essenes public center.  We proceed to Dead Sea, where we will enjoy a float in its salty water (weather permitting). Return to Jerusalem.  Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. 

Day 8, WEDNESDAY – January 03, 2024: Mount of Olives – Mount Zion – Davidson Center – Jewish Quarter – Western Wall Tunnels – Wailing Wall
Buffet breakfast. This morning after breakfast, Visit the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking view of Jerusalem and a panoramic photo. Our guide will point out the most important sites in Jerusalem, then we will walk the Palm Sunday Road. We proceed to Mount Zion to visit the Cenacle, which commemorates the Upper Room in which Jesus shared the Last Supper with the disciples. Then, visit also King David’s tomb, a site which is considered to be the place of burial of a biblical king.  Visit the Southern Wall excavation site. Here we will walk on the very stones where Jesus trod to Herod’s “second temple”, and see the place where our Savior taught the Scriptures. Tour the Jewish Quarter, one of the Old City’s quarters, where we can see Roman Cardo, King Hezekiah broad wall, Hurva Synagogue, and the Golden Menorah.  Visit the Western Wall Tunnels, reflecting on the massive stones which once formed the western exterior retaining wall of the Temple, and reach the Warren’s Gate which is symbolic for Jews as it’s the closest point to the Holy of Holies which they can reach. To conclude our day, visit the Western Wall, called the Wailing Wall, a section of the Western retaining wall of the Temple Mount, and Judaism’s holiest site. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. 

Day 9, THURSDAY – January 04, 2024: Temple Mount – St. Anne’s Church & Pools of Bethesda – Israel Museum – Yad Vashem – Shepherd’s Field – Bethlehem
 Buffet breakfast. Leave the hotel and drive towards the Old City to Temple Mount. Visit Temple Mount where the Jewish temple stood until its destruction in 70 A.D. Here we reflect on Jesus’ ministry at the Temple of Jerusalem, seeing the Dome of the Rock, a possible location of the Holy of Holies.  Visit the Church of St. Anne’s, a perfectly intact Crusader church. It is a wonderful place to gather and sing a song (sometimes with fellow Christians from all over the world). There, we will also visit the Pools of Bethesda where the healing at pool took place (John 5).  Drive to the Israel Museum.  Visit the Shrine of the Book (included) housing some of the Dead Sea Scrolls discovered at Qumran and see a Model City of Jerusalem showing the city as it looked in the 1st century A.D.  Visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum, for a needed reminder of what the Jews have suffered during WWII.  Drive to Shepherd’s Field. Visit Shepherd’s Field where the angels appeared to the shepherds and announced the birth of Our Lord. These fields are also the setting of the Book of Ruth. Proceed to Bethlehem.  In Bethlehem, visit the Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity built over the Cave of Christ’s Birth, we will view the actual place where Our Lord was born. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. 

Day 10, FRIDAY – January 05, 2024: Gethsemane – Kidron Valley – House of Caiaphas – Ecce Homo –  Via Dolorosa – Garden Tomb
Buffet breakfast. Start our day by visiting the Garden of Gethsemane where amid the 2000 years old olive trees we see the Rock of Agony on which Jesus prayed and the nearby Gethsemane cave where Jesus often spent the nights at and where he was arrested at the hands of the High Priest guards. There we will pause for a prayer time in a private garden  Later on we will walk along the Kidron Valley following the footsteps of Our Lord, seeing Absalom Tomb, Gihon Spring, and Water Gate. We proceed to visit the House of Caiaphas, the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, where we can
see parts of the streets that Our Lord was dragged on by his capturers. We will have a chance to visit and pray at the dungeon where He was kept overnight. On to the Old City, where we reach Ecce Homo, the site named for Pontius Pilate's words “Behold the man”, where Jesus was beaten, crowned with thorns, and clothed in a purple robe. We see the Stone Pavement called Lithostratos and have some time for prayers and meditations. We walk the Via Dolorosa following Christ's passion toward the church of the Holy Sepulchre. In the afternoon, we visit Garden Tomb, a peaceful spot where we can remember Christ’s crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. We see the Calvary and the empty Tomb. Celebrate communion service at the Garden reaching the climax of Pilgrimage at the empty Tomb. Return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. 

Day 11, SATURDAY – January 06, 2024: Departure
Buffet breakfast  Check-out of the hotel. Drive to the Tel Aviv Ben Gurion airport and board your homebound flight.
